anyone try those 8 min beds.. the stand up one is too small for me and i can't fit inside but the new lay down beds rock.. and it's the only machine that after one tanning i could see some color.. now i know that has too be health for me... 18usd for one week i'll tell you how it works out...

the place I go has some kind of new bed, not sure whay it is, maybe what you're talking about. Supposed to be some sort of high pressure bed or something. I'll try it soon and see if it a short duration thing like you said. Eight minutes would be nice and short.

the new 8 min stand up is called the cyclone it is very small but works good but you do burn a bit in it if you are fair skined the lay down one is the diva 5 or diva 7 great beds get great tan no burn and no lines if you use a lotion with a bronzer in it you will get a nice dark tan my friends own a bunch of salons i go in all the bed diva 5 and 7 are the shit

all i know is that the new ones are huge.. i always had white feet or top of my head in the other's

I wish they had some big ones around here. I stick out both ends and have to hold my hands over my face or my back wont get any sun

same way it was for me.. they showed me the stand up.. and it was really small.. then she took me into where the bed was.. and the thing is about the same size as a double bed.. just longer... i'm 6'7" and i fit

these tanning beds are really not any safer than the sun, are they? Like premature aging and sking cancer?

I thought that the cancer thing was if you get a bad burn. The aging I guess is a possibility. Come to think of it, I do look pretty old...

You can't fit inside the tanning bed, do you have a tan like this guy yet?

talked to the guy that runs the place today.. he went into this long speach about the different light waves and how these new beds tan the second layer of skin and was alot better for people.. i can see the same old problems coming out.. side of legs and top of head not tanning but that i can get in the sun light... but if i was to guess with just going twice for a total of 16 mins now.. i would say it's like going to one of the old beds for at least 6-8 times.. they rock

Studies have shown that sun tan beds or no better then tanning in the sun when it comes down to it. Actually i read an article in a magazine about it. /shrug

I used one of the high pressure beds at the beginning of my tanning phase. It's called the Ultra Bronze and it only has bulbs on the top, so you tan the front for 12 minutes, then flip and tan the back for 12 minutes. It was 5 sessions for about $100. It got my tan started off fast, but at that price I didn't think it was really worth it. I can go for one month of unlimited tanning in a regular bed for $40 at the same place. Plus they told me I wouldn't burn of peel from this and they were wrong. I got slightly burnt, and my face peeled bad.
