Bison meat? You know buffalo. Sorry mods, couldn't resist. The place I used to order it from shut down (online site) I tried a search and it led me to a adult site featuring "ass eating," nice huh? I've had it before and it tastes great and has a hell of a lot of protein. Any info would be great.

Our local grocery stores sell it (Harris Teeter), at like $3.99/lb. I've had it, but we prefer ostrich - also a very lean red meat, and cheaper (we pay $1.99/lb for ground ostrich). BTW, my son is allergic to beef (and a bunch of other stuff, too).

Do you have any upscale supermarkets? Our whole foods (chain) supermarket has buffalo, as well as harris teeter.

I'm telling you, you should try ostrich. It's a very lean red meat. We really like the thin hamburger patties - I put a little olive oil on them and then grill them on my gas grill - very tasty! And pretty cheap ($2.49/lb by me).
