Mine's pretty simple, but fairly elegant (imo). It's a Citizen solar-tech titanium. I need titanium because my skin reacts to the nickel in anything else (turns my skin green!), and this one's solar powered so no battery. I like the titanium and gold two tone, too, with a dark grey face. I've had this one like 4 years - the first watch I've worn over a few months.

I just have a POS Armitron $50 Wal-Mart special. I've had it for four years now, and it is still working.

I have a G-shock, and I love it. Never had a problem with it and I've had it at least a year and a half. That one is fancier than mine and mine isn't solar.

I'd never be able to figure all those features out. I don't know if my pos computer could do all that. :D
never had a watch last very long, I seem to be hard on them. I did get a year out of one recently. I got it at K Mart for about $6, go figure.
Sounds like you have a great one picked out.

For those that have problems wearing watches (because they break or irritate your skin), look into getting a titanium one - strong, and won't react with your skin. They are a little expensive ($200-300), but you can get a good deal if you shop around.

Hey wierd...you have sensitive skin though...dont you?

WeirdAl

yeah, it reacts with the nickel, and other watches irritate me, too (not sure if it's from the nickel or something else). I think it's supposedly from acid in my sweat? I don't know

winnie

Is it an allergic reaction...or what?

WeirdAl

I'm not sure, I think it has something to do with the acid in my skin reacting with the nickel, but it might be an allergic reaction. In general, I don't have sensitive skin, but I am allergic to pine and grass - both make me itch!

but I'm not allergic to poison ivy - weird, huh?

youre prob right. I have one from 14 yrs ago, still looks and works great. A little scratched up in the bracelet. I have a new one that I never wear to the gym. A geezer like me needs to wear a heart monitor most of the time anyways....
