Thinking of upping my dose

I am 4 1/2 weeks into my current cycle and getting less than stellar results. I am doing 400mg/wk cyp, and 300mg/wk decca. last cycle I was doing 600/400 and had good results. I thought I would see how I responded to a lower dose, thinking it may save some money and still work. Well, 4 weeks in, I'm not gaining much at all. I may be a little leaner, but I'm not noticing the pumps I did before, and I'm getting crap weight gain. I am fluctuating between 234 and 237, without a steady gain. I don't have any doubt that it is legit, as it is a script.
What I wonder is, should I go back to the 600/400 mix like before, or would I need to up it to say 800/600? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am planning a 12 week cycle, but with the slow staet, I may consider extending it. By the way, when I was running prop with the test to front load at 200mg/wk, I seemed to be gaining, so I'm thinking a 600/400 split might work again.
Any thoughts?
 
I think the 4 1/2 week mark was about when I started feeling like my 400/400 was working well and when I seemed to really notice a strength increase. Before that, I think my weight gain was all diet. Now I seem to have stalled out at 220 or so for the last week. This week I've cleaned up my diet even further, but even last week I didn't really gain.
 
I'd try to bump it back to 600/400 for two weeks to see if it makes a difference, if your not happy after two weeks you could try your 800/600 theory.
 
I just checked my journal from the last cycle and I guess I wasn't gaining quite as much as I remembered early on, but I did gain well from week 4 on. I also seem to remember having a higher libido, and that will be very important in a couple weeks when my girlfriend arrives. She is looking forward to spending a weekend with a raging bull, and I don't want to dissapoint her. :D
Maybe Ill up it to the same as last time.
 
Can you change your gear from deca to EQ and leave the dose as is and add some fina?I never feel good running the same gear in back to back cycles-I always try for something a little different and seem to get better results that way

Given the long esters involved this won't give him any clue.

Badger, first I would check my diet. Enough calories? Enough protein?

Second (and this comes from one middle-aged guy to another), we don't have the luxury of experimenting for 20 years to see if something works. If you find something that works stick with it. Bump the dose! Good Luck- LA
 
I'm going to go out on a limb and say he couldn't easily change from deca to eq since he has scripts, and eq is not available for human use :(
 
Thanks for the responses, lots of good points. Al's right, being a script, it might be impossible to go that route. I decided last night to go ahead and bump the dose to the same as my last "therapy". I don't know if it was too low, or just not as effective as my last cycle. I think I was a little impatient too, but with a limited time to be on, I don't care to leave anything to chance. I'd like to get good results and then just do maintenence cycles, so this one is important.
Weighed myself at the gym today, and back to 237. Was 234 1/2 yesterday. I thought I was gulping enough protein, but I'll drink more. Not easy to maintain a great diet at work, but I do what I can.
Since yesterday was injection day anyway, I should notice a difference soon. I would think in a week and a half, given twice wk injection schedule. Some small difference sooner, perhaps 4 to 6 days.
 
I always weigh first thing in the morning since it seems to fluctuate less (although I weigh less then, too).

Are you bumping both the test and the deca?
 
Yes, bumping both to 600/400, same as I was doing before.
I don'y have an accurate scale, so I just weigh myself at the gym after work. It will fluctuate, but I can spot a trend then, by using the same scale,... over time anyway.
Training is better than last time but I may not recover as fast with the heavey work I sometimes do. The next 2 weeks should be telling.
 
Yeah, you should get your bf measured, too. That way, even if your weight stays the same but you are getting leaner, you can tell that you are gaining muscle (and how much)
 
That's a good idea Al. I feel like I'm leaner at this weight than when I finished my last cycle at nearly the same weight, but no way to be sure. The gym I go to only has the electronic hand held checker, and I don't think it is accurate. The trainer who tested me thought they were the least accurate method. Don't want to have to pay a clinic to get it checked, but I'm at a loss as to where to go.
 
I don't like the electronic ones much... You can get the skin fold calipers pretty cheap. If nothing else, those are very repeatable, so you can compare one measurement to another. They have manual ones and digital ones
 
I'm running 750mg enant and 400 mg EQ per week along with fina (I started with a-bombs for 5 weeks) and my bodyweight hasn't gone up in WEEKS.....I'm eating tons and getting at least 300 grams protein - along with WAAAAY too many carbs - but I don't seem to be gaining. I'm up about 15 lbs and I have 5 weeks left. I have gotten stronger, though, A LOT stronger......
 
So would I get calipers at a drug store?

Never tried tren. Just cyp/decca . I frontloaded with prop both cycles now. This time, my prop got too cold in my room and crystalized about a week and a half into the cycle, so I ended up with some lagg time before the cyp/decca kicked in. I suppose this made this cycle seem less effective from the start. What results have you had with the tren rippedchef? May be something to consider for the future.
Bigshug, do you feel that you are dropping water weight now and putting on mass at the same time, or just plateuing? (sp)
I am wondering what effect running a course of HCG in the middle of the cycle would have. I've heard of people doing that but does it do anything other than wake up the testicles for a week or so?
 
Y'know, I was afraid that maybe I'd hit a plateau - but with my strength still gaining from week to week, it can't be that. People keep telling me that it looks as if I'm trimming down a bit....I'm hoping that's what it is. It does seem as if I'm dropping the water weight gain from the drol....at least my face doesn't look as puffy anymore

Didn't you warm it to get it out of the crystal state?


I wouldn't trust calipers for BF comp. Even if the same person takes them everytime, at our age loose skins tends to scew up the reading.

I am wondering what effect running a course of HCG in the middle of the cycle would have. I've heard of people doing that but does it do anything other than wake up the testicles for a week or so?
That's all I know it does.
