Alright I am getting ready to start a cutting cycle that goes into competition and I was wondering...do you guys actually put any muscle mass on while doing a cutting cycle or is the main reason to help w/loosing muscle while cutting calories. I have been curious about this for a lil while, any words of wisdom and experiences will be appreciated!
 
I think it depends on the person and how much fat they have to loose. I have a freind that seems to gain some muscle but i think it is because of the change in eating habits.
 
I've heard a couple of national competitors make the statement that they competition weight is HIGHER than their offseason, start of cutting cycle weight. One in particular (who said it's a couple lbs higher) said the difference is the amount of gear.

Me personally, not having competed before, I don't expect to put on much muscle while cutting, but I really have no clue.
 
Man this last cycle i didnt loose any musle. i lost bout 5-7%bf and am a lil heavier.


i think one shall take the most anticatabolic juices to hold the muslce. such as 400mgPrimo and take BCAA b4 n after workout. also maintain a high protien diet. that should be enought to hold the muscle mass while cutting. unless the person has a lot of fat to lose. but for others all the added gear will aid in putting on more muscle. now some juices work better on high cal diet some work on both high cal and low cal such as winny/tren. Add eq for vascularity. also test should always be there.

And i dont know bout everyone else but from my experience, one can add quite a bit of muscle while cutting.

ex. cycle

600mg Eq/week
400mg Primo/week
700mg Test
50mg Winny eod or ed
75mg Tren eod or ed

do a mad high protien diet, cycle eca/nyc or syc

i will garuntee if u do everything wirte u are gonna pack on mass while cutting all the fat.
 
You can definitely add muscle while burning off fat while contest training. I think your best bet would be to start at least 4 months out. The slower you diet, and for a longer period, you will keep more muscle and your bodyweight will also remain more stable. Madchemist has a good cycle there. Start with your heavy testosterones in the beginning and maybe keep one towards the end, when you are really getting lean. You can also throw in Clenbuterol about 6-8 weeks out, and Cytomel towards the end.
