What is a good major for a personal trainer?

I have decided on changing my major from Criminal Justice to something dealing with fitness and would like to be a personal trainer. Those of you that are PTs, what major did you chose? Do you regret it and how is the money?

I am not saying this will be my career since I'm still wanting to get into law enforcement. Everyone that I've talked to that is in LE and has CJ as their major wished they could have changed it to something else. If LE doesn't work out, I want to have something to fall back on instead of CJ.

I'm not a personal trainer, but if you were going to spend alot of time majoring in criminal justice.. why not pull a double major in business & kinesiology.

From what I've heard, a fitness trainer's certificate isn't very hard to get.. that backround in kinesiology would benefit you greatly.
The business degree will give you the ability to market yourself.

I pulled a double major in business & molecular biology..
It was hard because I work full time, but if you give up the rest of your life.. it's not that hard :D

KINESIOLOGY is the study of body movement from a holistic prespective-It is usually a series of courses- If you are interested in how and why the human body functions you will enjoy it

Kinesiology is the study of human movement in exercise, sports, and dance. Kinesiology degree covers biomechanics, exercise physiology, anatomy, motor learning, and motor development. Some colleges offer the kinesiology degree with concentrations in physical education, exercise science, and athletic training. I would recommend that you go to a college that offers a kinesiology degree with a concentration in exercise science.
