Never tried DSL... decided to go with cable because DSL wouldn't do all I needed it to (like virtual private networks). I've been very happy with cable, except that it does go down from time to time (whenever cable goes out). Not that frequently, but annoying when it happens!

I stick with Optimum online (cable). way better then DSL.

I just recently got earthlink DSL...having no probs and it's wuick as hell! I'm happy

I've had both cable and DSL and from my experience they aren't very much different...

they both go down periodically and speeds are equally as fast with a slight edge on cable..

but the good thing about cable is if u have a black box, you can split the wall outlet with a cable modem and your black box and u get free unlimited cable... woohoooo

atleast that's possible in sacramento, cali.... apparently here they send a cable television signal alon with the internet...so with a box u could get free cable...

I believe you can split all cable Internet connections and still get basic cable channels...for right now at least...lol

I have DSL, but I am getting a cable very shortly!...No problems with my DSL though, works great.

yeah my DSL works great... and good service when it does mess up.. i just call em and they walk me through to fix it... 24hrs/7 days a week

cable here - during peak times it can slow down quite a bit, but most of the time its awesome

yes here at bellsouth...it's 24/7/365 here...it sucks working on christmas let me tell you guys...but trust me...sometimes belllsouth is great, just really depends on where u live? that's the honest truth..if u guys only knew what I see and hear everyday here at work!!! LOL
