Can clomid be used to prevent gyno? I know Nalv. is the most common used anti e but I was wondering if clomid is also used to prevent gyno.

I don't believe so. But you should be able to get some info on it form http://www.basskilleronline.com/nolvadex_vs_clomid.html

I'll echo skywood's thoughts on this...although both are SERM's, everything I've read indicates that each med exerts its anti-estrogenic characteristics in different tissues throughout the body. Besides, nearly every breast cancer case I've ever heard of has always been followed up with tamoxifen. But definitely give it a try and tell us what happens, lol.

FYI, I used tamo (with a little hcg) this time instead of clomid for recovery. Worked much better than clomid.

Clomid does help with gyno prevention however it's generally considered too weak and when you are looking at big bucks to fix a gyno problem you'll wish you used dex or stonger.

Clomid works the same as nolva. It binds to the estrogen receptor preventing estrogen from binding. Dex, femera, sin all prevent test from converting in the first place. Thus (and I've said this so many time now) you'll have more test!

As far as coming off a cycle using Nolva instead of Clomid you are short changing yourself. You should always use Clomid and either Nolva or Dex (or >). Clomid stimulates the LH signal telling your body to start making test while the others knock down estrogen. Estrogen is the first cutoff switch in the HPTA. Too much estrogen and all the clomid in the world won't get your test back online.

We've all seen studies promoting clomid, nolva, a combination of the two, etc. This time, I decided to experiment. I combined some hcg and nolva, and the results were excellent...much better than clomid alone. Most studies that I've read all say the same thing about LH recovery, namely that it recovers much quicker (without any ancillary use) than testosterone levels. Of course, the drugs used, dosages, etc. all contribute to these conclusions. So using clomid solely to increase LH levels instead of paying attention to testosterone levels seems a little myopic. And I am well aware that increasing LH levels should lead to a corresponding increase in endo test. However, it may take a significant amount of time before the testes respond to an elevation in LH...I think the amount of time is linked to the degree of atrophy suffered during the cycle - best argument for intermittent hcg usage throughout the cycle.

In my particular case, after using clomid for every cycle with less than stellar results, I decided to try an alternative. The results: no acne, no moodiness, instead of getting softer post cycle, I got harder...no loss of libido, morning wood, maintained strength. Certainly wrapping up with fast compounds helped, but not much else was different between this past cycle and every other one I've ever taken except the post-cycle regimine.

I've got both clomid and nolva, and I'll use both products. After reading about this neverending debate between the two, I simply decided to try the alternative, and I was more than pleased with the results. So I agree with those who argue nolva is a viable alternative to clomid.
