Pride or UFC?

I am going to have a get together and get the UFC match on 6-6 or the Pride on 6-13. Which one would be better to get? I have never ordered a Pride fight. Choke?

Both are interesting. Personally I like Pride a lot. I don't think you will be dissapointed - there are strikes and grappling which always makes for interesting matches.

i think the ufc has, more recently, implemented more rules and restrictions than the Pride fighting. i think the pride may be more brutal, which is what you want.

As far as Competitive cards go, this Pride is possibly one of the best ever. The next UFC may be more interesting for casual fans tho, they are bringing alot of crowd favorites from early UFC's like Ken Shamrock, Kimo, Tank Abbott will be fighting. I will be definately watch both if you are hard core Pride, for entertainment probably UFC.

Major differences in rules are Pride allows kicking and Knees to a downed opponent UFC doesn't. UFC allows Elbows to the Head Pride doesn't, they are equally as "Brutal". I feel Pride is the TOP fighting org in the World.
I base this on talent, rules and treatment of the fighters

Mark Kerr is DEEP DEEP into retirement bro. He competed in a Grappling tourney recently and was soundly beaten, he is a shell of himself.
Mark Coleman is fighting Don Frye bro, maybe thats who you were thinking of. This is going to be an awesome fight, it's a rematch from way back and a major grudge fight.

i'm a complete novice when it comes to watching PRIDE(i've got one video) but from what i've seen i like UFC way better. more personalities plus i idolise ken shamrock!

UFC definitely has a few more rules than Pride but it is still enjoyable to watch.

There will be some good fights at this forthcoming UFC but why on earth is Tank Abott still fighting. He should have realized by now that it takes more than a hard right to win the UFC. Tank's fighting style and skill level has not evolved, and it's ashame, in my opinion, that he still represents the UFC. I look forward to watching Kimo destroy Tank.

UFC just ain't what it used to be a few years ago, i just prefer renting the old ones to see the great ones go at it; knees to head, head buts, kicking , you name it and they did it. Now, just too many rules.
