Eulogy for a Veteran
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.

The sacrifice they made cannot be repaid. All we can do is remember, and live the free lives they gave us with their blood.

Beautiful poem

I've been fortunate enough to travel out of the country & lived in England during summer vacations with my Dad & stepmum.
As much as I loved it there it never felt like home to me.
I don't ever feel like I'm home, unless I'm in the USA.
This country ROCKS because of our brave veterans.

Ya know what I noticed a couple of years ago during parades?
No one gets off their asses when a flag passes by or puts their hand over their hearts except for the older generation.
At today's parade, I noticed more people my age were showing the flag more respect by clapping or standing up.
I dunno, maybe people don't know that when the flag passes, you're supposed to stand?

yup, buncha disrespectful punks nowadays.....no one shows respect for shit anymore, including those who defend their freedom

Every sporting event I go to(About 100 per year) I make it a point to have men/boys around me remove their hats/caps during the national anthem. Too bad if they don't like it!
