I just took my test for becoming a certified personal trainer. I'm getting certified through the ISSA. I'm only going to be training clients part time. Nights and weekends as I have a career that I'm not about to give up. Training people has always been something I wanted to do and hope one day that I will be able to give up my career to start a new one.

yup, I passed. Just have to wait for the card in the mail. Let me tell you though, this seminar had some of the hottest girls I've seen in one place. I don't know how I paid attention to the seminar. I met a lot of cool people also. Was definitely a good experience.

I also went through ISSA a few years ago. I let it laps and have to go again. Where did you go for the seminar? There are deffinately some nice looking girls that roll through those things!

That's great, bro! Have you started training anyone yet? I'm thinking that'd be really cool, and may look into doing something similar myself after my contest!

How tough was the test and how long did it take to get certified?

Good job, bro!

I had to read a 685 page book and take a pre-test which wasn't that easy actually. I was pretty lucky because the ISSA covers the internal structure of the body. Due to the fact that I'm a dual science major, I already knew every muscle, nerve, and joint in the body. The book and video you had to watch was very indepth. The two day seminar was really cool. I learned a lot of things pertaining to PT other than just exercises. The test was at the end of the second day. They gave you 3 hours for the test but I was done in 2.

nice job, are you going for any other certs?

yes actually. I have to put in 1000 hours of PT first though. If you have 1000 hours of PT, a science related degree, and a ISSA certification, you are eligible to take another test for the Masters of Personal Training which I want to get.
