Cool experience at the gym

I was ath the gym today with my 13 year old son. He's a 6' and weighs 165 lbs. He's an excellent wrestler and looks to become better through lifting. No matter, there is this guy in my gym that isn't just a house, he's a friggin trailer park!! He comes up to my son and me and asks my son his age and then says, good to see young kids in here, keep up the hard work. He then complimented me for bringing him in. My son was all grins and was quite motivated by this. This guy wasn't the owner, just a member that was real cool.

Just thought I'd share that as I found it to be quite cool.

That is cool and it's great you take him, keep at him, but teach him to have fun with it.

i remember when my late son logan used to watch me work out and he'd grab my girlfriends 2 lb dumbell and try to keep up...good memories...

That is cool. I remember situations like that happening to me when I was younger. Those are the guys you could talk to and get real help from. Remember that we must all act like that when we are in the gym. I try and always help people as long as it does not kill my workout. tentitan

I don't have any kids myself but I always am impressed by the men who train with their boys -- great dads.

Nice, My son (5) is my shadow, I take him to the Gym and Academy as often as possible. It makes me vey happy when people take just a second out of their lives to be nice to him. And he remembers everyone that does. He runs home and tells mom all about his new friends. Great story bro.

can't wait until my children are old enough to go to the gym with me.......daughter'll be 4 this year, son's only a year
