acromio-clavicular pain

Hello all,
Back in 1995 I separated my acromio-clavicular joint at a construction work site. While doing hammer strength incline benching, I felt it pull and it's sore now. I've benched again since then and I'm getting pain. When I separated it in 1995 it wasn't a total separation that needed surgery. My question is does anyone know how to tape a shoulder properly to cut down movement in that joint to allow me to keep benching? The sports specialist I've seen since then told me there isn't anything to be done until it gets worse. Comments? In case someone doesn't know a picture is attached of the A/C joint. Where my problem developed is in the top along the collarbone.

This is very funny scorpio I also had a construction accident fell off a dump truck and caught myself as I was going down and supposely pinch the super spinitious(SP) muscle in my ac joint 5 years later I stil have problems from time to time. As far as taping can't help ya on that one but benching I mostly use dumbells seems to help keep the inflamation down. I do know a few excellent ortho's you could talk to. My sis is a athletic trainer and could get me the name of the *home town team ;)* trainer.

LOL, I haven't had problems in years. Now suddenly it flairs up again. I read that if you can tape it, to keep the clavical sationary, benching would still be possible. I get pain now just from my first working set.
