Just wondering guys these are aldactone and diazide respectively correct. The aldactone is a potassium sparing diuretic and the diazide is what? Thanks for the help and info.

No, that isn't correct.

Aldactone is spirolactone, a potassium sparing diuretic (actually an aldosterone blocking agent)

Hydrochlorathorazide is a thiazide drug that will make you excrete sodium and potassium. The combination of these two drugs is Aldactazide, not diazide.

Diazide is a combo of triamterene , a potassium sparing diuretic, and hydrochlorathorizide. Triamterene elicits a stronger diuretic response then aldactone, so diazide is a stronger drug then aldactazide.

Many people like both these combos. I prefer aldactazide, I think it gives the most diuress with the least amount of potassium lost (thus less lie\kely you will o.d and cramp or go flat)

I would agree with SJR7674....aldactazide is my fave as well...seems to be the norm nowadays.
