Just helped a friend strip one layer of singles off a 30' ranch style house with one dormer. I respect the hell out of the guys that do this for a living, talk about a ass kicker! My lower back is killing me!

I know what you are talking about. I helped my dad roof a house back in the day. It SUCKS

three summers ago I worked for an industrial roofing company, and let me tell you, if you can be a roofer, you can do anything in the world (phisically demanding that is). Its the hardest job I ever had, my hat off to them

I can't imagine the HEAT up there.....much less doing work at the same time you're baking your brains out

laying hot-cap on a road crew has to be right up there, just from the heat.

the heat is insane, but from now on I will always have one of those new style metal roofs put on, never have to have it replaced again.

I used to drive a truck for a fine metals plant. The Ovens in this place went up to ungodly temps. In the summer it would easily reach 120 degrees in there while these guy's humped raw metal material into the burners, they worked 15 minutes on 10 off all day long, covered in black sut. Tuff job .
