my dog

DID NOT like the Verizon guy who came to the house to repair my phone line today......he told my mom (who was there watching my children) that he'd never heard such a loud bark, and had also never heard such a low, ferocious sounding growl......yeah baby, just try to get into my house....lol

MY dog hates anyone who comes to the house who is not a "family member." There was a car accident in front of the house a while back and the kids, uninjured, came to the hosue to use the phone. I let them in and my 100 lbs shepard came tearing after them, they were as white as ghosts when he came around the corner. When he's pissed he puffes out his "mane" it really is an awesome site. One of the kids ran out of the house and jumped off the porch until I convinced him I had the dog.

Gotta love dogs. My best dog was a MARINE reject dog. Guess he wasn't part of the few the proud, but I thought he was the best dog ever!

Dogs are great aren't they? :D

They are....but they sure as hell don't get the respect they deserve

I saw a program on Discovery about how integral war dogs were in the survival of armed forces units in Vietnam - and guess what happened to them when the war was over? Yup, the dogs were left there........no excuses, they were taken over there, they could've been brought back. I'd like to find the individual ultimately responsible for that decision and service them anally with a freshly knurled Olympic bar...

I still miss the 2 dogs me and the ex had. One was a 100 lb. boxer/rottweiler mix. I always got in trouble for letting her get in my lap, but she was just too much of a sweetheart (and my baby) to say no. :D

Your dog sounds cool, man. Never heard that about the vietnam war dogs. I saw a special on WWII dogs and how they were integral in that... and they were brought home and given medals and heroes welcome and all that just like the soldiers.

Seems that both people and dogs alike got the shaft for serving america in vietnam. That's unfortunate.

BigShug...I sure am glad your dog didn't send the Verizon man to the hospital like he did to me. Hell I still have the top and bottom tooth scars on my arm. What a fun night...remember?

My dog's the best man......his breed has been declared a natural monument in Japan - yup, he's an Akita. There's a statue of the dog who made that declaration possible outside of the train station in Tokyo - his name was Hachi-Ko and his loyalty was unparalleled.......great breed, he'd give his life for me in a second

My 90lb Lab meets everyone at the door with a ball or stick.. what a watch dog.
Shit the UPS and FedEx guys are behind on thier route after they play with my dog for 20 mins
