Ok me and the ole forman and the outside grill are getting bored. I need some new food ideas...my staples consist of tuna, salmon, top loin (london broil), chicken, everynow and then turkey, mahi mahi. I usually throw some garlic salt, oregano, and blackened season on them, and then kill em w/texas pete....any idears on how to change up a little!

venison, elk, wild turkey, duck, goose, pheasant, grouse, partridge or walleye are all very good for a change...oh, that's right, you're a city guy...guess you have to stick to chicken and tuna...ha ha

Take some salmon and place it in some tinfoil. Put pepper, itallian seasoning and whatever seasonings you prefer. Add a cup of cooked rice and maybe a little butter. Wrap it in to a nice little pocket. Place it in a preheated oven at 400 degrees for 20 min. Yum

If you have a craveing for red meat and can find it, buffalo might be something to try. It is a lot lower in fat and cholesterol than beef. I find it a little dry, but it isn't bad other than that. Kinda expensive though.

Look in your grocer's section for Laura's lean meats......stuff is leaner and has no hormones or implants in it....tastes good too

also, look for "Jane's crazy mixed up salt" in the seasoning aisle, that stuff's incredible

Sushi does the trick for me when I get tired of the normal stuff. Love the Big Eye Tuna. Can get kind of pricey so I only do once in a while.

sushi? ech! *gags* Real Japanese food is terrible.

Try your chicken like this:

Cut up chicken breasts into bite size pieces or strips.
Place all in a bowl. Pour in some Japanese sake until the chicken is fully submerged. Then add soy sauce until it is dark brown. Now add a couple squeezes from a tube of S&B Wasabi (most supermarkets have it).

Mix that up and let the chicken sit for 30 minutes.

Pull out the chicken draining off most of the sauce (don't throw away the sauce!!). throw it into a greased frying pan... and make sure the chicken is pretty well cooked on both sides...

Now add a few spoonfuls of the sauce you marinated the chicken in. And let it cook away as you stir the chicken pieces around in it. Do that about twice.

Chicken is ready to serve... goes great with some asparagus or broccoli on the side... if you're not cutting it goes great on top of rice.

I guarantee you'll like the taste.

What the hell are you complaining about? You're cutting and you get to eat all that? You suck! :D

My protein comes exclusively from chicken (4 meals), salmon (2 meals) and eggs (1 meal). I basically spice things up right now with salsa, lemon or lime juice, salt & pepper. And I cook everything on the grill except the eggs.

You could stir fry your chicken or beef! If you stir fry the beef, cut it into strips and put some powdered cumin on it, then eat it with salsa and maybe a touch of cheese. Ok, I'm making myself drool!

look around in the healthy recipe forum, there is plenty of good stuff there.
