I realized something the hard way - the really hard way. You spend all that time at the gym, eating right, and avoiding/limiting vices (alcohol here), but the littlest things can screw you.

I never brushed my teeth. I went to the dentist today and had 17 teeth capped. That means, I had 17 cavities / holes in my teeth. The bill was enormous (about the price of a new car but I won't explain beyond that). I can't eat hard foods for a month at least - that includes protein bars. It sucks.

Anyways, remember that when keeping your body in shape, don't forget the little things - like brushing your teeth and going to the doctor (which I haven't done in 2 years). I guess I'm just lazy in the areas outside of school/work and working out. Small problems may build up causing disaster - financially at least. All I know, is that I'm brushing 2X a day and flossing 1X a day for the rest of my life.

yeah I brushed mny teeth but have soft enamel, so I have about 12,000 in my mouth so far worth of work. BUT I can break my crowns out to sell the gold for cash

damn bro it would have been cheaper to get dentures

I always managed to get cavities when I was younger, and I brushed 2x a day, I was slack on flossing. I am now convenced that it is more important to floss than to brush. I floss daily, and don't ever get any cavities now.

Well, I hadn't been to the dentist in several years. I didn't brush in highschool because I went to an all-guy highschool, thus brushing occurred only on the weekends..so females never noticed anything. I brushed in college, but the problems with the teeth occurred before that.

BTW, it's not the brushing so much as the flossing. The cavities/holes are between each of my teeth. The doctor said it was because of sugar stuck in there, not flossing, and it would probably be a wise idea to drink a cup of water after putting any food in my mouth.

Alright. This is becoming a sensitive subject, like when I wrecked that motorcycle the day I got it - I simply want to forget about it.

OK, so this is nasty......I floss everyday, but have you ever SMELLED the shit that comes out from in between your teeth?? It's just been sitting there, fermenting in your mouth all day long.............

This is by far the most disgusting thing I've heard in a while. You must be a pretty big guy. I say so because I'm sure people thought your breath stunk but didn't say anything.

damn, i feel like that guy on the orbit commercials right now. i brush my teeth about 3-4 times a day with a toothpaste that has baking soda and peroxide(that stuff will make ur teeth white as hell over time) also floss with a hydrofloss machine which is much better than floss. dude u need to start doing something different before all of ur teeth fall out seriuosly

Damn peeps go easy on noob he's learned a very expensive lesson. I feel for ya bro I brush but I'm a grinder and have round the enamale(SP) right off my molars a trip to the dentist is a payment on 1 of his toys. Yes I've tried mouth pieces but spit them out in the middle of the night I'm sure I'll be dentures in the future.

Anyone ever tried the tooth whitening? I mean the dentist type where they give you the molded plastic peices and the injectable (heh, heh) whitener goop?

I had many ear infections as a child, and the antibiotics I was put on stained my teeth(!), and from what I understand, my bones too........maybe I should sue....lol

in all honesty i brush my teeth atleast 4 times a day, no bullshit there, im weird like that, after every meal just about, im afraid i might be known as that handsome man with bad breath , and yes im very handsome,lol, actualy im down right fucking sexy,lmao,

MBKiller, I'm a grinder too. My first wife confirmed it. I used to ask her to wake me or do something to stop me, but I think she whispered to me to keep it up instead. :laugh:
Sometimes when I would check on my daughter in the middle of the night when she was little, I would notice her doing the same thing. It was amazing the force that someone grinds their teeth with in their sleep! I'm surprised I haven't broken more of them.

I hope that we can lighten up on Noob here. He was trying to just let everyone know what happened as a result of a mistake he made. So, he learned a lesson the hard way, but at least he took the time and risked embarrasment to give others a heads up.

I dont have many problems with my teeth, but I didn't go to the dentist for 2 years (usually go every 6 months like clockwork) and my gums were bleeding and swollen and I had to go back for another cleaning amonth later and pay outta my pocket. I go every 6months now, cause its alot cheaper and less painful just to get regular cleanings. It free with insurance and only like $60 without so why the hell not?

not being able to eat solid food gets real old real quick.
