Sodium/Carb load & deplete

I am doing my first show and I have a few questions that I hope you guys can help me with. I am not clear on the methods of sodium and card loading and depleting. How, what, when and where? I am 7 weeks out and I take in about 150 carbs (all potatos, brown rice and oatmeal) and I am not taken in alot of salt. I am not trying not to, but I do not like the taste, so I am not adding any. I do eat fresh chicken and canned tuna, both are about the only sources of protein that I eat, other than whey powders. Any advice will help. Thanks.

Well first off at 4-6 weeks i would drop the whey
starting on sunday prior i would start my water load
Mon i would start a deplete until wed -thurs depending on condition and making wt class then i would start a carb load of 30 grams per meal after 6 pm on wed then thurs and friday! now add in some dry carbs(rice cakes) and a high fat meal (steak ) fridaay night. sat morning hot cakes with a ton of syrup and 4 oz of steak! also eating a couple rice cakes every two hours! and sipping on h20.. this is basic but its some insight!
 
You say start my water load on the sunday prior. When do I taper off my water? What is the deal with sodium? Thanks for the advice, it helps!

YOu usually start tapering water on thursday....1 gallon on thurs and 1/2 on fri...somethign like that. Drop sodium out on thurs and fri
 
the thing with sodium depleting is that if you allready are not eating a ton of sodium in your diet then the to deplete would be pointless...I just did a national show last weekend and found this out while talking to a friend........

so it wont work unless you are allready eating alot of sodium.....how can you deplete something that is not there....you know....also here is how I did my water.....

Monday gallon
tuesday gallon
wednesday 1/2 gallon
thursday 1/2 gallon....
friday quart.....then another quart with diuretic...
sip on thursday..
