I hear ya on that one. The one I have is good. It's the Nike 128MB. Holds a solid 50 songs and it's easy to use. PLus it's small and it comes with an armband so you can throw it around your arm (although for all I know, your arm may be too big! 
) I got it for somewhere in between $200 and $300 (Canadian) recently.

damn bro....lot of $$$ I got mine very cheap off ebay brand new..it's a YEPP, only 64mg...got 15 songs on it...and I love it...it's great!!! only paid 50$ for it...

i suggest the ipod. you can get a 10gig, 15 gig or 30gig which is up to 7500 songs. prices are from 300-500. check em out

I've owned a couple of Rio's and a creative Nomad. I would stay away from the RIO 600, 800, and 900 due to the custome memory/battery packs. I have seen the new S30's and S35's --- they look good. RIO quality is great but the customer support stinks. I recently bout a RIO One for a friend and she loves it. The RIO One is a pretty good deal as you can get one for under 50 buscks on Ebay (rebuilt). There is only 32 meg internal memory but the device takes smart memory cards for expansion and you can add another 128 megs that way.
