Sashimi

Anyone prepare this at home? How do i do it? Can i buy the fish from the supermarket(seafood section fresh)or should i get it from a seafood store? I guess it would be just as fresh from A&P,NO? THANKS

Sashimi is great! I prepare it at home alot. First thing you must find is Sashimi grade Fish.. Several stores sell it out with in the seafood case. If it is out lying next to other seafood it is not sashimi grade. If it is individually packed and sealed then it is good. Make sure it says Sashimi. Smell it to make sure it does not smell fishy. If it does take it back. The fishy smell is bacteria growth. I love sashimi tuna. I cut it into small bits and use lots of wasabi.

I've heard about the fishy smell not being good,but i didn't know they had special sashimi fish.I guess they just wash it very good? How do you prepare it? Just wash it good and eat it? I love wasabi.Wasabi snooters are my favorate
