Back to Arnold, there seems to not be a lot of other choices. I mean, Larry Flynt? And the rest seem to be out there as well. Is the current gov. that bad that he's being re-called?

Our current governor is pretty wretched -- imagine how bad a democrat has to be to be recalled in California.
The guy lied about the fiscal situation to get reelected saying taxes wouldn't need raised. As soon as he got reelected he started calling for new taxes (huge increases). We are told that revenues have dropped to 1998 levels but the jerk would never consider cutting spending to 1998 levels.
He totally botched the energy issue and even though we learned the power shortage was a fraud we are still paying 2 times what we paid before for electricity.
Businesses and jobs are leaving the state due to his poor management of taxes, the power situation, and zeal for regulation.
I signed the petition to recall him and will make sure I vote to remove him.

I remember the power shortage problems California has had recently. Didn't that pretty much bankrupt the state? There is opposition here to building a new powerplant. I think people could learn a lesson from the trouble Cal. has faced, but some of them want to keep their heads in the sand.

He seems like a well educated man (has a doctorate from a college here in Wisconsin) and is a good public speaker. I hope he doesn't turn on his past and condem AAS to make himself more palatable to the uninformed public that expects to hear the same tired old mantra of how terrible juice is.

I think Arnold can win -- he is sure popular. Davis' base lies in labor, the gays, and the environmentalists. Everone else despises him.
I love this state and I hate to see what the extreme left is doing to it. I'm not right wing -- just a moderate. I really hope that Arnold or someone sane gets in office to help keep this state the greatest place in the world in which to live.

What is a ashame about the revote system is that it doesn't take many signatures to start. It less than Five percent of the population or 100,000 votes. But keep n mind Gray Davis inherited the bad economy. Like Bush inherited some of terrorist problem. Who ever won the last election in Caloforna was going to get Fcuk any way.

Political types are pressuring him about the issues, and questioning his morals when it comes to womanizing, I think Arnold, being from another country knows more about the issues than most Americans, and as far as his "Morals" he is a conservative and has more morals than allot of the decadent citizens of California. ARNOLD for GOV.! :thumbsup: (and I don't even live in California, yet)

I was watching Arnold today.
He was touring an afterschool facility for kids & I really was touched by what a big deal he made out of the kids from all walks of life.. being able to share this facility.
Plus, he joked with the press & I gotta luv a guy with a sense of humor.
He's gonna need it if he gets elected.

Yeah, it was Davis who tried to get federal aid. Makes me wonder what he would have done with the money if he got it. Even though power costs have dropped at the wholesale level, and even though courts ordered refunds from some of the power companies, we in California have not seen a drop in the state mandated rates.
Imagine your electricity costs if they increased 4 fold -- now, imagine an impotent governor who has a legislature completely dominated by his own party who does nothing. Anyone would be furious.

I wish he would not run. I would rather see him continue on as a living legend than to be bashed and have his past dredged. He is a great man and former presidental concil on health and fitness for the nation. But, they will bring up stuff like him smoking pot in the movie Pumping Iron.
