Help Me! Help!

There was a storm in my area & it shut my computer down.
When I started it back up, my wallpaper was all messed up.
It was lovely white puffy clouds floating in a nice blue sky.
Now they're grey clouds in a grey backround

Everything is oversized.
Like right now.. the letters I'm typing are about a half inch tall.
And the page is soOo wide, I hafta use the back & forth scroll bar to see the whole thing.

There's also lil x's all through the page that distorts the writing..
When I logged on, I couldn't make out the names of the people who had already logged on today. It looks like chicken scratch.

Does anyone know what's wrong & what I need to adjust?
There was a message that popped up when I logged on that said it was in 'safe' mode or something like that & something else needed to be restored {?}

Even the lil icons in my space bar below are oversized!

My avatar is so distorted that I look as though I'm wearing fishing waders..
Or is someone playing a joke on me?

ok easy fix right click in the middle of your screenthen properties then settings adjust your pixels and colors to 16 bit high colors and adjust your pixels to try 800x600 then ok keep trying it until you get it back how it was hope this helps

I right clicked in the middle of the screen, clicked properties, the box only has 'general'.. there isn't a 'settings' tab to click on.

first step, since you are in safe mode, just try shutting down your computer and bringing it back up. Hopefully you won't be in safe mode this time

start tab/settings/control panel/display
now you have access to your backgrounds/screensavers/settings which you should want 800x600 pixels
*mumbles again now she's gonna kick my ass in the shout box WTF was I thinking*

you have to get out of safe mode first, though!!

I tried shutting it down, but everything was still really wide.
Then I tried clicking on the middle of the screen without the page being up & that properties box had 'settings'..
And I had to shut back down again for it to kick in..

I made the letters too small, but I know how to play with that now.
What's really funny is that my 'legs' avatar somehow came up onto the screen while this was all happening! *lmao*
