twisted sister, just beating out motley crue and ratt. Mostly, they knew they were freaks, and just seemed to have a ton of fun.

I always liked Van Halen, along with MC.
rad, I bet we would really hit it off bro if we hooked up, lol. Poison definitely rocks (Look What the Cat Dragged In). Although, when I think of hair metal, I think of the early '90's...Nelson (those guys had hair that most women would envy, LOL), Warrant, Skid Row, White Lion, Dream Theatre, etc.
I think bands like Poison, Cinderella, Scorpions, and to some extent Motle Crue, Whitesnake, GNR, and Bon Jovi started the whole monster ballad melody movement in the '80s that just exploded from '89ish-'92. That stuff is the best music EVER...they were actually able to play musical instruments, LOL! And then came Nirvana and "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and everything fell apart.
