Funny enough, I was lucky enough to live beside some such people.......it went kinda like this.
A local family was having very much difficulty with the medical bills for their infant son who had cancer (a total trajedy, but this is about mom and dad - not the children), and the father had lost his job and couldn't afford further medical care. My next door neighbor read about their plight and decided that she, since she was moving anyway, would let them stay in her condo for FREE until Dad could get back on his feet again.
Just so you know, the condos I used to live in were pretty kick ass. Lake front, new units - you get the idea. Shit, my association fees per month just for grass cutting and lawn care were over $130 per month - and these people weren't paying for any of it.
Anyway, things were pretty much OK at first until I realized that these scumbags were taking the money that was donated to them to use for their own advantage. I found this out when my wife came home from work one day (she works at an expensive, snooty children's store) and told me that Mom from next door had plunked down a shitload of money at her store. She further went on to tell me about her designer eyewear and latest fashions from Talbot's that she was modeling - not the sort of shopping place that someone who's hurting for money would frequent.
Furthermore, the f*ckers would leave trash out in the parking lot when they dropped it instead of taking it to the fenced trash area just 15 feet away. I started piling it up in front of their door whenever I saw it........
Luckily, after telling the real owners of the condo about all of their shenanigans, they had to leave and leech off of someone else. Some people just suck, you know?
