Hey Peeps...

Just wanted some oppinions on good training splits. I have been doing a 5 day split with sat/sun off.

-Mon- chest and tri's
-Tue- Hams and quads
-Wed- Back and bi's
-Thur- Delts and calves
-Fri- Hams and quads again but no multi joint exercises(leg ext and curls, deadlifts)

cardio in a.m. on empty stomach 3x's a week I'll bump it up closer to competition. I always do 3 exercises each muscle and I used to do high reps(15) but I need to build more muscle(esp delts and arms) and burn fat under the tush and inner thighs. I have a while till comps(June), so I'm trying to find what works now so I don't run into any dilemmas, ya' know.

Appreciate the help

I'll be doing figure competitions by next year as well. So, I also am trying to still gain more muscle and work out the details. I have some friends that have competed. I'm working with them to help me along. I wish I could help you out more with this one, but I am just as new as you are to competiting, but I will help you along the way as we both learn from this together.:)

Thanks Petite

Yeah...I kinda have to figure out everything on my own, so I thought I would really need a good head start! I would appreciate it if you would send me tips here and there, and I'll do the same for you! Dynamite does come in small packages, huh.

No prob. We are both in the same boat right now and we can both lean on each other for this. And yes, Dynamite does come in small packages. LOL :D

Petite...you have awesome abs! WHat's your nutrition and abs routine like? If you don't mind me asking.

I think I'm gonna put up a thread on my diet. I have had so many pm's asking me what my diet is so, it will be easier for me to just post it then ot reply to all the pm's. ;) As far as my ab routine...the best thing for my abs has been hanging leg raises. First just do the basic lifting legs with knees bent. Then, hold your legs out straight (knees slightly bent) and have someone help you pull your legs all the way up and then SLOWLY bring them down. It's the negatives that hit your abs the best. I have tried crunches and the ball for years and nothing brought out my abs the way hanging leg raises did. It only took 2 months for them to show up. All these waisted years and all I needed to do was one exercise. LOL :D

I am a personal trainer as well as an amature BB'r I am raining my GF to compete next year as well if you want more size I would sayup your weight right now and lower your reps you will need the heavy weight to get bigger where you need you can go back to the lighter weights and higher reps in the spring ! hope this helps

best of luck
