getting hit by an old diesel - a deer's perspective

This came across a diesel car list I'm on, and I thought it was funny.

For those of you unfamiliar, most older diesels are loud, smelly, slow, and smoke "like a tire fire". But, they do tend to run forever and get great mileage...

Anyway, getting hit by an old (mercedez) diesel, from a deer's perspective:

ooh. grass. yum. oh my this is good grass. hey pavement! I think i'll wander onto it.

oh headlights. wait... is that headlights? well i'll stand here for a bit.

my gosh that thing is slow. I can hear it. sounds like a dozen spoons stuck in a Cuisinart. But it doesn't seem to get any closer.

Hey what's all this black fog? smells like New Jersey. *cough*

Can't see the headlights anymore.

Oh. here they are.

WHUMP.

damn. I just got a pedicure. "It's just a fleshwound!"

*cough*

yeah, you'd think with all that racket, smoke, and lack of speed, they'd get the hell out of the way!

They are very loud and stink they gotta be bad for emissions.
my neighbor had one you could hear him coming a block away.

anything diesel is great.....you guys had to know that i would reply to this.....by the way Al ...that old car probably had the injection pump turned up and was running dual 5" exhuast and pulling a 32' bumper pull camper behind it going up an incline...that was why it was smokin!! haha

You're such a d*ckweed. :D

Well, atleast you finally admitted that we have mountains, pine trees and 10 point deer.

yeh - the text msgs - I have no clue.....

once I get back from traveling and back to NJ - I'm scheduled to go up to the mountains - I'll take pics of them and the deer (atleast the road kill ones).... cc will have to prove the pine tree.

but as I said on the phone ... pull up that web site and you too can see mountains - - and I don't mean my secretarys either
