Damn mechanics!!!!!!

The mrs. car started misfiring, so she took it to the dealership to get fixed. Well, after 2 hours of troubleshooting, they determined the fuel pump to be bad. $700 to fix it!!! My wife couldnt get ahold of me for the ok, so she told them she would talk to me and call for an appointment. Luckily I didnt buy into there shit, and replaced the $8.49 fuel filter, and problem solved!!! It just pisses me off that they are that big of crooks. Double checking things saved me $690!! That is alot of money, now that bulking season is upon us

Yep, they'll almost always try and get you!

BTW, you probably could change the fuel pump yourself for < $100 and 2 hours. I've gotten to the point on our POS '89 caravan that I can drop the tank and change the pump in about 15 minutes in a mall parking lot, lol, thanks to a batch of faulty pumps from advance auto

when an unscruplous mechanic knows you arent familiar with the inner workings of your car he can use this as a signal to try to get you. especially women.

When the mrs. got home, i looked online for a pump.$200 at advanced auto, and the best part is, I dont even have to drop the tank. You can get to it through the trunk. Just remove a cover. Maybe an hours work. Well i snooped around, and could not see evidence that they checked fuel pressure before the filter! That is the first thing to check!!!!!!

There are alot of idiots out there working on automobiles
that have there ase and dont know jack you have to find a good one and stick with him.

Do it yourself. Most things on a car arent that hard to repair. You can buy a code scanner cheaper than what a mechanic charges to hook theirs up (although it is not as thorough). Car mechanics and insurance= Biggest scams going

anyways they almost took you for a ride there a really long ride 690$ thats like 1040 of our dollars dammit !
