how sick do you need to be in order to skip a workout?

I have the seasons first nasty little cold....
I went to the gym today, determined not to let it stop me. It didn't. I worked hard, had a good workout
But now I feel like I've been run over... UGGGHHH!

At what point do you just skip your workout when you are sick?
 
I skip a workout when it gets to the point that I don't think I can hold food down. If I feel nauseous then I don't workout.

What about sore throat, body aches?
 
well i think about it like this. you can either rebuild muscles or you can use the same nutrients for the cold. your gonna get better slower and get a shitty workout without much healing at all. Id skip it.

Yep. Working out breaks down your body so if your sick it is very hard on you.

Always best to skip if you're not feeling well, especially if you can not concentrate properly. Why risk a torn muscle just for a semi-good work out?

I skip if I don't think I can focus correctly, I'd rather wait an extra day or two rather than hurt myself or do a half-assed workout.
 
damn that ! balls to the wall no matter what ! unless something is broke ! or hanging off my body I am in there going ass out !

unless it's something that totaly knocks me off my feet iám going
i have to be really sick i mean i went to the gym for the week that i had the flu but then i changed my work out stlye for a while .
if you really feel bad try changing your work out style i mean i feel runover as soon as i finsh working out any day but if you can't handle it or it's draining you for the rest of the day skip it .
it takes longer to heal when you work out sick so it sorta evens out .
 
pfftt never miss the gym!

one time I had a stomach virus and was puking all over the place. It was leg day and legs are my weak spot. SO i brought a bucket to the gym and asked some random guy to spot me , around the 2nd set half way into a rep i needed to puke. So i turned my head , puked in the bucket and yelled "LIGHTWEIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!" and finished my set. really freaked out my spotter.






























































































ok that isnt true...but it would have been funny:p
