After donating blood, how long do I have to wait before I could work out or take a shower?

I used to donate blood all the time when I was in the Marine Corps. We were told to skip PT for that day only. Shower - what does that have to do with it?

lol! I'm sorry if that sounded bad, but I don't know what showering has to do with it. Anyone?

i really have no clue as to what the shower thing has to do with, but you can do pretty much whatever you want. as long as you feel fine within an hour or so after donating, you should be o.k. to resume your normal activity. hope this helps.

I don't give blood anymore. I had a bad experience the last time. I would wait about 4-6 hours afterward if you are doing anything aerobic

YOu only have to wait an hour or two so your not bleeding.
Watch you drinking - you get drunk real easy with less blood.

Those blood people turned me down. They asked something like 124324 questions and I said yes to one of them so they said I couldn't donate.

Geez...you have unprotected sex with one bi-sexual, I.V. drug user and they think there's a chance your blood may be contaminated.

Just kidding by the way...they turned me away because I admitted to using finasteride.

Thanks for explaining the abreviation. When I first joined I had to ask what PCT meant. I'm still learning the proper forum board etiquette.

I did't want to ask in this thread 'cause it's off topic. But...
I was wondering what you decided to do regarding your new girl and trying to get her to lose a few pounds.
That was it :) AND how she responded, if anything.

I have donated blood several times and they usually said if I felt ok then in a few hours I could resume regular activity, but try not to do anything extra for the day.

They are extremely careful when it comes to blood donations.

Remember they don't want the risk of catching anything either!

Have donated a few times, mostly depending on how you feel, you can resume your normal activities within 2-3 hours.

I have tats so they won't let me donate anymore. Besides, I do not want to waste the gear on some dying person ;)
