Long Distance

Has anyone ever met off here from far away? I mean, just wondering how often it happens. I am from Canada and I "met" someone from Louisiana....I really like him, but I don't think he feels the same way. But besides that, has anyone ever travelled very far to meet someone off here and how did it turn out?

Can't say that I know him - sorry I can't be more help. LOL. I've actually had an online stalker before - appeared on various dating sites w/ numerous persona's. The elaborate personalities, stories, occupations, etc. where friggin' scary - like Hannibal Lector scary. There was a guy over on Professional Muscle who was just "found out" after 2 years of parading around on different boards as a top level nat. competitor. This guy was absolutely FANATICAL in maintaining his online persona(s).

Yep, no lies, man. Met the real person and started talking to her, just online. To make a long story short, we had a falling out, b/c she was doing some psycho stuff. She then took on another persona (female BB'er of course with other similar interests) and roped me into thinking she was the best thing since sliced bread. Shit, I couldn't friggin' WAIT to meet her. Then, Blamo, she tells me all the BS she was doing and what an idiot I was. She showed up again a few months later (waited for months until until I got back on those sites again) as another persona, and finally a 4th time, too. IT was fu*#ed up in a big way. I wouldn't put it past her to try to find me 20yr from now. She was / is the most maniacal, devious, seriously insane and evil person I have ever encountered. I would put nothing past her. Nothing.

P.S. IG, I was seriously considering tracking her down and having her whacked. But then I realized just how pitiful she was and that that was more than enough punishment for what she had done.
