BUT....damn..... that fight sucked.....:( I know he lost 25 pounds and heeven told me he was not training that hard for this fight but Tarver gave him a run for his money ay????


Anyone see it.....
 
I didn't get to see it....I keep missing all the good stuff since I got rid of my cable boxes.
 
I really don't think Roy Jones fought well enough to take the title. When you fight for the title I think that person should either KO them or really kick there ass and neither happened to say the least. I think the fight should have been a draw.

Yeah Roy is a personal friend of mine.... He did loose a lot of muscle and I guess had not realized how much that would effect him...he is getting older so it is not a easy..... Good Guy tho....
 
Personal friend, nice...but yeah I saw the fight and would have bet that he lost the dicision, Tarver just hit him with some many more combo's all though a lot of them were blocked he was the one applying pressure the whole fight, at least thats how I saw it.
 
Yeah me too.... Now I would NOT say Roy got his ass beat cause he DID not...but Tarve gave him a run for his money- Roy actually had to use his cutman this time.... FIRST time ever...so... but still with him having the record he does and being the BEST FIGHTER ...guess that helps when it come to dicision time....;)

He has some killer new shoes out buy the way.... HMMMM...maybe that is what I should start selling on here... :D heheheheheheh
 
best roy jones fight i ever saw. I dont like to drop money and see him drop someone in the first round this was actually a fight.
 
OK.... just got the low down on the fight.... He was at 192 on Wed and had to weigh in on Fri at 175 so.... he dropped all that in that short of time sitting in a sauna 4 hours and stuff then the night of the fight he was at 187...so...yeah I guess that would take on toll on your body.... cause he was just not the same Roy..
 
Yeah, I've never seen him get so tired so quick before...you know when Roy's mouth is hanging open in the 8th he's either not in shape or he dropped a lot of wieght and is fatigued because of that. Seems like he was just happy getting beat on in the corner as long as he could rest while he blocked most of the punches.
 
Sexymama, i know this guy who is like 6'0 215 lbs....brown hair, brown eyes....fairly muscular and has a great personality. He just happened to fight at the show you were at Nov. 1st? interested :)
