Newest pics in a long while

Well, as most of you most likely don't know me I guess an into would be nice.

I am 17 years old, living in Houston, TX. This morning I weighed in at 147.5 lbs, 5 ft 8.5in or so . The pictures which I am posting were taken this morning. I have been working out seriously for less than a year.... I have been working out off and on for about a year.

Any advice is appreciated! Oh yes.. as to my bf%.. hrmm I have no clue.. anyone want to take some guesses? I'm thinking about buying some calipers.. if anyone has any recommendations.. please give a url... I hope I'm under 15% :(

Right now I'm also working on hammering out a diet.. because right now its absolute crap.

Oh yes one more question.. when everyone here posts their pics do you get pumped first or just cold turkey?

Thanks again!
Don't rip into me tooooo much
:(

Aint not one person going to rip you brother.

My guess, I'd say about 14% bf, but I too don't know, it's just a guess.

For being 17 years old and having only worked out seriously for months, I say you have a decent base.

You're correct about the diet. You need to eat, eat, eat to grow. As some might say, eat like an animal!

What is your ultimate goal? In terms or size. Also why? For a sport, for yourself, to compete, for a lady or ladies, lol?

Ultimate goal? Well hrmm.. working out.. I work out because I want to look better for myself essentially.. when I look in the mirror I like to see more than a slab of shapeless meat walking on dinky legs... but also for da ladies :D Hey, it never hurts righhtt?

I am pretty much disgusted by pro bodybuilders.. like dorian yates or that flex wheeler guy.. don't really pay attention to that..

IN the future I would like to add on more muscle but I also want to be leaner... lean as can be.... yes.. thats the way for me.. I'm not interested in getting big and strong without shape and definition.

I'm not training for any sports.. just for me.. and perhaps boxing classes....

Anyways, I think I'm going to go inquire in the diet section as for my food and fat loss

:)

Dude you have plenty of time to grow, you're just getting started.

Just stick with it and you'll build the dense muscle you need. When I was 17 I was almost your exact same weight but my bone structure is a lot different then yours. In any case, now I'm 205 and on my way up to 220. I still have a long ways but look how far I came in 4 years.

You'll be fine.

Looks good for 17. Take the time to learn how to eat to get big and lift hard. You should be able to pack on some good mass naturally in the next 2-3 years. You just started so teach the body how to lift.

You've got the right attitude. Keep us posted and don't be afraid to ask questions. I wish we had the Internet when I was 17. We spent hours in and out of the Gym learning things through "Trial & Error".

welcome to MC.... lots of good people ans great info here to help you along. Good luck and keep us posted.

The key to me is diet, rest, and training. In that order. Don't get caught up into the "how much can you bench" crap that most guys your age do. Don't worry about how much you are lifting...just concentrate on perfect form and lift as much as you can handle to achieve the amount of reps needed with proper form. I would recommend supplementing with at least a couple of protein shakes per day. At this age bro your like a weed....ready to grow.

One more thing....stay consistant and don't ever rely on a partner to keep you motivated. Lifting partners are great but don't rely on them to get you off the couch and into the gym.

Good Luck

thecloser is 100% correct bro. Keep training, eating, sleeping and learning; when you're 20,21,22.... you'll be big. Keep that diet in-line and you'll have the shape you're looking for.

I wish I knew about this place when I was 17!! of course I don't think it was here at that time.

got a good base....definitely EAT like a horse!! atleast 5-6 times per day and altho i like the fact that you have MC.com and other places to go to for knowledge, nothing beats getting in the gym and trying and searching for what works best for YOU as an individual. good luck and keep growing!
