When discussing IGF administration everyone keeps reffering to a "tick" on the syringe . Is this a special insulin pin or does the "tick" mean one I.U. on a normal insulin pin. Does 100 i.u.'s = 100 "ticks"

YES

100ticks = 100 of the small divisions on a 1ml insuline pin

i would use a 1/2cc 29G U-100 slin pin. The math works outs the same 1 tick is 1IU, but because the syringe is smaller, its easier to draw out a precise dose...you actually get digit ticks with those!
