What are some of the little things sometimes failed to be mentioned in contest prep. Anything you can think of, list here. Best foods to use for carb loading, shit loading, flavored drinks that are ok alternative instead of water (with exception of the last week), snacks that are harmless ( ex last week), things that would interfere with ur carb loading or water depletion.

Iv heard protein shakes should be cut out at a certain point, reason unknown. Sugar free popsicles and sugar free jello iv heard are fine. Crystal light iv also heard is ok.

Small amount of Red Wine and glycerol....is known to make one more vascular, and happier on stage LOL

Alcohol may work BUT it is HIGHLY discouraged by promoters and almost all of them threaten to throw you out of the show if they smell it on your breath.

As Kelly McGillis said in TOP GUN "Hell of a gamble with a 30 million dollar plane, lieutenant."

Wow, they really must be straight-laced up there in CO. In Arizona, a local brewery or vineyard usually sponsors the show and hands out samples at a booth in the lobby. Just grab a shot or two on the way in for the pre-judging and you're ready to rock!!! LOL

Some guys still do that old Prep-H trick?? LOL.....it only lasts like less than 15 minutes in my personal experience.

Having your tan just right is often overlooked..
What I found that works well is use Pro-tan mix with Jantanna in a bowl, then use a roll on method using a small roll on paint applicator from home depot - about $3.00
You will have a nice dark tan, and if you need a bit darker use some protan the day of the show,
Just my thoughts..

does anyone have anything new to add here? im about six weeks out from a show and im always curious of what else i should or shouldnt do.
