Need a break!!!

These past few weeks I've been posting about all the drinking I've been doing. Not to impress you, I was just crying out for help really, lol.

You see, I just moved out from the place I was staying at. That place had an older roomate that wasn't much into partiing so we kept it cool over there.

Well, I moved into a house with three good bros that I went to highschool with. One's 23, two are 22, and I'm 21. It seems every night I'm at the house, there's a huge house party going on. Damn, I kinda think it's fun - well hell, I'm having the time of my life!!!

This is what I've come to, the partying has affected my eating and workout habits and sometimes my ethics (not necessarily related to body building if you know what I mean, lol).

So here's is what I've come up with, if I want to be really happy, I mean walking down the street turning heads and having a booming self confidence, I can't party 5 days a week. Hell, I think it's best if I don't party at all. Cold turkey.

What do some of you guys and gals do while haning out at parties and bars without drinking?
 
Sometimes its good to take a break, but not that long of one. I would break out that turkey and get back on path!
 
Sometimes it's quite entertaining to hang out with a bottle of water and watch the other people get drunk and stupid! LOL
 
I don't go out to bars very often anymore. I did plenty of drinking when I was younger and it hurt my physique. I'm sure I would have gone much further competing back then if I didn't spend so much time partying. I think you just have to stay away from situations where you might drink. Or at least cut back on the amount of time you spend going out.
 
Hell, just hang out and smoke a bowl or something before the party.

EVERYONE I know drinks but they know my lifestyle and respect it (sorta) so they just get slammed for me. Its all good in the end.
 
Figure out what is important to you. If partying is important, go with it. If training is, go with that. I don't go to clubs or bars or places where people are drinking because I prefer not to drink these days (though I have my handful of occasions after a show where I make an ass of myself while drinking hehe).

It isn't important to me anymore. You have to find out what is important to you. Good luck.

If ya gotta be at a party and dont want to drink. ..Drop a bean grab a water and get lean! Im half way kidding......
 
i second dreww and sweatmachine. drop a bean or smoke a bowl. (even if they were half kidding). fuck drinking. it makes you feel like shit the next day. roll, if you have time to come down the next day, (and don't plan on working out), or you can always hit the ganja, just make sure you don't get too apathetic towards training. i know two things for sure besides death and taxes. i will most likely always train, and i will most likely smoke whenever i feel like it. there is no other drug, alcohol included, that you can use and not suffer severe enough physiological consequences to prevent you from training. just my .02
