Ladies ~ How do you NOT bulk up?

I have a question for the ladies.

When your man or significant other is in a bulking up stage, how do you keep from eating along with him? (or her)

eat only half what he (i mean he or she) eats. :D

seriously, he'll be eating very clean, you could follow close to what he's eating just less of it. have you tried to log what you eat every day to see what you're total intake is?
 
How about just scheduling your cycles to coincide with each other? If not, then just stay focused on your goal and that should see you through.

Eat 1/2 Mark? Like a 1/2 bowl of ice cream instead of a full one? lol, j/k

Personally, I am going to try dieting - ok, just eating cleaner - when he starts in 2 more weeks.

I brought up this subject because it is so very hard not to eat brownies, donuts, chips, ice cream, etc. when the person sitting next to you on the couch is.
 
It takes a whole lot of will power.......

When I diet... my gf eats whatever she wants.... and I have to hold back.... you get used to it...
 
I used to want to eat whenever my guy was bulking and eating all of the time...but then I watched him eating, and eating and eating and eating and he didn't bulk with ice cream and candy, he bulked with tons of food that looks good in SMALL portions and has to supress his gag reflex most of time. That's hardcore, and suddenly dieting doesn't seem that bad. It also gets easier with time to think about what you're eating and what its doing for YOUR long term goals. After you've seen your abs with veins sticking out, turning down a Snickers isn't so hard ;-).

It makes me pretty sick to see the amount of food that CC eats when he's bulking. I have no problem staying out of the kitchen (or off the couch) when he's eating!

You know it.....I just loved the reaction people got when they saw my abs....it just made me want to diet harder.

Is that because you were afraid that if you got in his way you'd be eaten too? ( and NO I did not mean it THAT way.....get yer minds outta the gutter!)

The only time I'm afraid I'll get bit is if I go for his nuts . . .and since our minds are NOT in the gutter, you know I'm talking about the Planters kind!
 
for the females that are dieting, do u eat small meals frequently? Also how many meals do u have? Im having problems with some girls at the gym that refuse to eat 4 small meals, they think im trying to fatten them up. They just want to eat once or maybe even once... I myself have 7-8 small meals a day.

I used to resist my hubby when he would tell me, "If you want to loose weight, you have to eat!" I thought he was nuts. I used to skip a meal here 'n there -- wahla, 5 lbs gone. lol

What I didn't know was that I was telling my body that I'm starving it. By doing that, your body will hold onto anything you do eat and store it as fat. (You do know this right? If you are training people.)

By eating between 4 - 6 times a day, you up your metabolism. Your body has to burn what you eat because it knows you will be eating again soon.

The one thing that most think (& mainly women) is that you are eating full meals each of these times. All you need to do is eat an apple, a protien bar, a few soy nuts, a yogurt, etc.

Here is one of many bodybuilding websites that talk about dieting vs. eating right, metabolism, and more. I like this website....my hubby is mentioned on it. LOL

Eating multiple small meals throughout the day is standard weightloss procedure for anyone female or male. By spreading the calories out in smaller frequent portion you not only speed up metabolism (which accelerates fatloss) but also allows your body to better assimilate the nutrients you take in.

I do know that this is the right thing to do, but its so hard to convince some females. I planned 5 meals for either one of these girls but could only convince them to have 4. Anyways we will see what will happen. Thanks for your reply and kidroks aswell..
