To really save cash-Buy a cow-Then take it to a butcher. Cattle prices should fall into the 70 cents per lb range. And The butcher will charge 25cent per lb to cut wrap and freeze it. You get a shit load of steaks and burger for under 1.50 lb. And you get it how you want-lean burger and steaks for one or two etc...

hell yeh...I'm already "mad" anyway so there's nothin some cow can give me to make it worse! lol

If I could figure out how to get that damned cow into the trunk of my wife's Mercedes, I would do that. However, I don't think it will happen. :)

Of course, my wife fits in the driver's seat and SHE is a cow.....

Just kidding - if she ever checked the board she would beat my ass.

I heard a quote from vet on the radio who represented (I think) the USDA, who said that the "virus" (its not really a virus) is found in the brain and spinal cord. These are the infectious tissues, not the meat.

However, there's a like a 6 year latency period before the symptoms appear (in cattle, at least), so the one cow that was found indicates that there were likely many more infected, but not showing symptoms...

I plan on keepin' my freezer stocked. LOL

Correct, that is the funny part. People don't understand that it has nothing to do with the muscle cuts of a cow. I intend on buying MORE beef because the price will be so low. I should get the nice cuts as everyone will be avoiding it. hehe
