Advantage of natural PB??

What is the advantage of Natural peanut butter over regular peanut butter? When I compare the labels, they look pretty evenly matched.

my reply from a previous thread

You have to check the ingredients to see the diff.
Natural PB doesn't contain hydrogenated oil (ie., trans fatty acids) which keeps the oil from separating in regular PB.
Also, natural PB usually has less sugar content even though fat & total carbs may be the same.

what about the taste .. how does natural peanut butter taste ??? Never had it :)

It tastes kind of dry and really really sticky inside your mouth.

I like it best melted on toast.

And like the other bro's mentioned, once you get used to it, you'll never go back. I love the All Natural. I hate the other stuff now.

The feds allow you to understate carbs and fat if it is not natural. example if you have maltodextrin and soy oil added but they constitute less than 2 grams of each then they do not have to be listed in the totals. So just like the amount of rat feces included if you fall below the magic number then you can claim it is clear of the unwanted substance.
THATS 2 grams of listed serving. So if your serving size is 1 tablespoon you can have just under an additional 24 calories if not organic or natural. and even organic may not be really organic as long as it meets gov't interpretation of organic.

that's so fucked up. atleast in the US you guys have to have everything labelled with nutrition info and such. in canada i see alot of products with no info on the label. it sucks.

I am not a fan of labels when the gov't permits the labellers to lie if they fall under the magic number.
I get fooled too. I bought 10 lbs of Splenda reading the 0 calorie label......then at the suggestion of a fellow pessimist I went to the splenda web site which incidentally stated the real number of carbs contained in the 0 carbs product. Really pissed me off....especially since I knew they were alowed to lie.

at my health food store my mom picks me up a 5lb thing of natural peanut butter lol i put in my oatmeal with my protein lol 5lb natural organic peanut butter for like 13 bux great deal also 10lb thing of oats for like 5 bux or something like that

I've been weaning myself off of regualr PB by mixing half and half of natty with regular. I'm up to about 3/4 Natty and 1/4 regular PB now... made my self 2 PB and honey sandwiches to take to work today... I feel like I'm 12 again!
