How can beer, alcohol, have no carbs or only 4 g of carbbs, Yet have 140 calories? Lets see no protien.... no fat ...but 140 calories? Isnt beer full of sugar aka carbs? Those calories have to be coming from somewhere.

glycerol maybe? Just like the protein bars that state 0 or low "impact" carbs. Thats because for whatever reason they are not required to list the carbs from glycerol and supposedly glycerol does not spike insulin levels like sugar would. I kind of take that with a 'grain of salt' if ya know what I mean!

Besides that the alcohol is still going to have an adverse effect on your metabolism. I hear now people saying vodka is carb free....big deal! It still can make ya fat by slowwing metabolism!

ethanol - 7 kcal / gram of ethanol. 12oz (336 g) of ~3 % alcohol has ~10 g of ethanol --> ~70 kcal. Add the carb from the beer and you've got ~100 kcal, ala miller lite.

whats with all the carb talk of beer lately. The adkins diet really is going overboard IMO.
You have to be pretty hard core alcoholic to have 2 gram carb difference per beer looks like the beer company's are cashing in on the Adkins diet fad.
I mean unless you drink most you food source through beer I don't think a few grams is gonna matter you get more carbs eating a few handful of gummybears than you do from a 12 pack of beer.
