MY F_ckin HOT TUB froze

Shit I have had it for 5 winters and never had a problem - we keep it hot as hell and use it all winter.
Its out on the patio so you have to run fast to get in.

Well last weekend the filter froze and busted the housing. No I can't keep it - hot
This sucks I hope it doesn't get worse.

BUmmer, man. SOunds like you need a separate heater to keep the filter warm...

That sucks man....I've always wanted to put a hot tub on my back patio. With the temps here I would be afraid it would freeze.

Mine is about 20 years old - Well the fiberglass "tub" itself is. I rebuilt the pipe , heater, bought a pump and maek the controlls. So its not worth dumping a bunch of money in.

If you had a nice new one you wouldn't have this problem.

How would they hold up to sub zero temps? That's the only thing I worry about.

The new tubs are all well insulated throughout, so the hot water in it would keep everything else from freezing.....

I have friends with hot tubs outside in CANADA....... and they have no problems....

that does suck..since my jaccuzi is connected to the pool, the hot water from it runs into the pool...between that and the solar panels, its always quite ready..
I don't know how you guys handle that cold stuff!

Why would you want a hot tub if it wasn't cold. I like it best when its cold as hell outside or in the Snow.

Besides its fun to watch your lady run naked in the snow to get in the hot tube - I alway let her go first. lol
