Do you ever get so stressed

Do you ever get so stressed or angry you can feel yourself getting ready to snap!!!

I seem to get that way lately. Tonight I got home and opened up a telephone bill from our long distance company. I don't think I've ever received one of these before. Anyway the bill is for a 3 minute call in Oct 2003. The charge for the call is $.45, but there are now monthly charges for Jan 2004 added to this and totals $8.00!!! For a .$45 call!!! I tried calling their 800 number because this is obviously a mistake, but the service is automated and takes 5 minutes to get the system to transfer me to a live person. The system says it'll take approx 5-10 minutes.......well 40 minutes later and 100 F bombs lately I smash the phone on the desk.

And before anyone asks, I'm off cycle.

happens to me a lot. Especially when I deal with incompetence.

I've been told that the phone companies will indiscriminately add false charges to your bill. It's up to you to catch them and challenge them on it. They double-billed my husband for something for several months on his work line before he scrutinized the bill and challenged them.

MCI deliberately gave me false information to induce me to sign up for their "neighborhood" program. After the first bill I cancelled again because the bill was about twice what they said it would be, because of hidden "monthly" charges.

I hate the phone companies!

The only thing that's giving me stress is the F****** idiots at the gym with their "air lats"!!!!!!!!! Can't stand it!!!! Just want to break their limbs off and beat them to a bloody pulp:angry: :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry:

Man, I feel lucky. I don't stress much at all these days and I can't remember the last time I felt like I wanted to rip someone's face off. I get irritated sometimes in dealing with customer service but not to the point that I feel like I am going to snap.

Maybe it is just that my life in general is pretty stress free these days. I just sit around all day on the computer telling guys what to eat and how to train and run my kids to school and such. You guys have to deal with the hussle and bussle. I do NOT miss it.

Yeah, I get stressed at work and have snapped on a few instances. I've been talked to about it.

Now I deal with stress my laughing or smiling. It's weird but it's all I can do now.

oh yeah

just had same type thing happen with my phone bill. I pay $73 every month for phone line and unlimited long distance. Last month they charged the $73 PLUS they charged me for every long distance call when it is suppose to be included. bastards

had to do to 20 minutes phone thing to get it fixed

That crazy phone stuff is exactly why I got rid of mine. I am now all cellular with cable internet access. The only thing that pisses me off about cell phone though is the piss poor reception.....can you hear me now?.......no

The people that piss me off the most is telemarketers! usually i'll let the phone ring since i have caller id but every so often i need to scream. i will attack their sex, heratage, parent you name it. some of these assholes will continue with their script! Most hang up. these fucks call at 9pm and expect me to want to listen to them. i've told some women if they want me to buy they need to blow me. So far no takers. maybe i should change my approach.

I get to that point regularly......The phone company can get me from mellow to serial killer in a matter of minutes.

I was going to have my name and number taken off the "list" but decided to have fun with it instead. I let my 3 year old answer the phone and talk to them. He LOVES it because it is the only time he gets to talk on the phone. With caller ID, it is so easy these days to tell if it is a telemarketer or not. If my son is unavailalble, I just answer it and lay it down next to me and see how long they will wait before hanging up.

Don't get so stressed guys - have a little fun with em. I used to bitch em out too when they would call a couple minutes before 9pm but I had a woman just short of tears once and I felt like a dick. She told me that everyone needs a job and that her calling me wasn't personal but that she had bills to pay just like I did.

She was right. Those guys are just as hard working as anyone else (harder working than me, to be quite honest). So, I feel a bit sorry for them because you know they get bitched at all day long.

Must be the rediculous level of test in my system. I am a bit .... moody. *sniff*

No clomid? Yes it's a job for them but one they chose and one that is based on invading a persons privacy and just being an annoying fuck. most times i let the phone ring but once in a while i need to vent.

Now we have another form of annoying bastards. the religious zealots that bang on the door wanting to save my sorry ass for a donation! Here we go again!

I understand completely, bro, but you are missing my point. My point is that these are still good people who I am sure would rather be doing something else with their time than bugging you and I. If you want to hate someone, hate the companies that use the approach of telemarketing to sell their products. THEY are the ones that don't give a shit to bother you as long as they make money.

good point. when they annoy us at that hour that thought doesn't come in. well made point.

I like to answer and say, "Hold on, I'll get him........ Uh, he's taking a shit, can I take a message?..."

Gives us both a little giggle, let's 'em know I'm not interested and they have a legit reason to hang up and go on the the next number.

I didn't get a chance to update this yesterday but I went to work the next morning and started calling again at 7:30am. Ten minutes later I finally get put into a holding area to be answered by a customer service rep. Well 15 minutes later some guy named Bruce answers and starts asking me questions and I tell him I don't recognize the number called on my bill and I'd like all of the charges reversed from my bill. He looks up the number and gives me the person's name and I tell him I don't recognize it. Then he asks me if I know anyone in that area, or did I have people staying with me from that area. I tell him no (and I'm starting to get tense now). He then asks me "Do you hear voices" I was so shocked by the question, all I could do was laugh and I said what (calmly), he said do you hear voices on your phone line when you're talking. I laughed again and said no, I thought you were asking me if I hear them in my head. Anyway, he says we should test your line and he hits a button and poof...I'm back to the automated system and I'm screaming under my breath!!! About 5 minutes later I get Sarah on the phone and (this story is getting long) eventually she reverses all of the charges and I get off the phone at 8:45 am.
