What do you think of gay marrage?

What, everyone afraid to take a side? Okay, my answer was a complete cop out. Truthfully I don't care one way or the other. If they want to marry, let them. But can they at least dress up for their weddings? You see on TV all of them in T-shirts and faded black jeans. You may get a yuppie couple in a nice sweater vest once in a while, but that's it.

I always though that were suppose to seperarte church from state. Marriage license is a licenes that is issued from the state which is obviously part of the goverment not the church. All a marriage license does is give you the benifits such as tax relief and the rights of a married couple.Remember MARRIED is a titled issued from the goverment giving rights. Now when you get married in a church, you getiing married in the eyes of god and in the eyes of god your commiting a sin if your gay..If you want to get married in a church then I don't support gay marriage but if you want to get married in a court house were thier is no god present whats the big deal. man when i hit SUBMIT REPLY I think i am goig to really hear it for a while...LOLOL...
Of course these remarks are my .02 and didn't mean to offend anybody in any manner.

I agree mostly with hairnutz. I could see some people abusing this for tax reasons and other benefits. Example two college buddies doing it as a joke when they're not gay. But I'm sure that straight people do it too. The whole point of marriage is to form a sacred bond in the eyes of God between a man and a woman. Whether you're spiritual or not the point is to pro-create and continue the species, something two same sex people can not do.
We in the US have an interesting situation, as a whole, on our hands. We demand our freedoms for the individual but at the same time our forefathers founded the country with certain principles in mind to be our foundation mostly from the Bible. It even says "In God We Trust" on our money. "One nation under God.....", "Nothing but the truth, so help you God", etc. etc. Everyday we push the limits of those original boundries. In my opinion we sacrifice the greater integrity of our country and it's principles for the selfish wants of the individual in the name of "Freedom". Yes we're free but we still have to live by principles, not the fleeting wants and desires of the moment.

Good point Always. I am so Tired of having this discussion with people.........Liberals are pushing to demoralize this country. They want to get rid of the term GOD from money, schools, public places, etc. It seems like every day we loose more and more of our freedoms and along with that we lose more and more of our principals, morals and beliefs. I for one will raise my children in a stable household to be of strong and great character. To beleive in what created this great nation. I truely believe it starts at home. We have to do a great job at raising our children to have hope of maintaining a great coutry. Lets do a great job of instilling pride, patriotism, discipline and moral character for our children. this coutry needs strong leaders, moral leaders and not just the social engineers we have come to know as the politicians that tell us what we want to here than support any cause that brings in extra revenue. Of course they will eventually legalize gay marriage. WHY? Because gays have 2 incomes and NO children!!! Thats a lot of spendable income. they become a financial force that will be recognized as such. Same way tobaaco companies are killing people of and simply setting tort money aside........It's business first in this coutry and as long as thats prevalent we will continue to hear propoganda and buying into gonvernment bullshit while they slowly brain wash us and make us there slaves.........slaves of the mob.
