Filtering made any faster?

Sup Bros!
Am I the only one that has to wait a long time to filter oil thru the whatman filter? There is got to be a way to make his proccess a lot easier and faster.
Someone mentioned filtering when oil is warm, but how warm? I use the standard whatman (22mm, 45)
Thanks!

patience is key bro. it takes a while to filter, but try to rush things and thats when mistakes are made. just take your time bro.

Thanks , you are right about that bro once I tried to rush by applying a lot of pressure and the whatman broke and lost my oil.

that's exactly what i'm talking about. you know from experience. seriously, what's the rush? it'll save maybe 15 min total, but you could screw up and it'll take you even longer to fix it.

What do you know about the Stericup top and bottom screwcap bottles set? I do not know nothing about it except it costs $20 at Researchlabsupply.com. Ok, I want to filter 400ml of oil , what would be the best way?
Thanks, as you see I do not have the experience in making large amount s of gear just 10 to 20 grams at a time but this time I'd like to make a large batch of 400ml of Test E 250mg/ml.

i have never used those before. i've heard people talk about them, but i don't know of anyone who has used it. are they re-useable? if you have the money, i would give it a try and let us/me know how it works, how long it takes...

I actually emailed Researchlabsupply today asking about it and they responded with just what I wanted to know, yesy it makes it a lot easier ...just plug them and walk away and check everynow and then and done! you are done filtering.

Here is what they told me:
The Stericup filter units are very easy to use. You just need one of them
and a hand vacuum pump (which comes with tubing). You basically just put
one end of the tubing on the vacuum pump and one on the Stericup unit. Fill
the top of the Stericup unit with whatever solution you want to filter and
then use the vacuum pump to create a pressure of about 20-25 in Hg (Do not
exceed 27 in Hg). Then just walk away and let it work. You will need to
check on the vacuum pressure every now and then to pump it up.

Some people prefer to use a Steritop unit with a glass media bottle so we
offer this option as well. The glass media bottle is autoclavable and
reusable.

For thick solutions with particulate matter, it's recommended to use a
prefilter which is placed right on top of the filter membrane in the
Stericup and Steritop units. If you are doing a lot of filtering you may
want more than one prefilter in case it clogs up.

For your situation, you have a couple of options:

Combo 1: Handpump, Stericup 150, 2 Additional Stericup Flasks 150,
Prefilter if necessary.

This option works by filtering until one flask is full and then just
switching it out for an empty one. If the solution will eventually be
rebottled into 10 or 20 ml in the future this may be the way to go. The
bottom of the Stericup is a flask that comes with a screw on top to seal.

Combo 2: Handpump, Stericup 500, Prefilter if necessary, 3 200ml Sealed and
Sterilized serum bottles.

Filter the solution and then rebottle into 200ml vials. Make sure to use a
needle to vent the vials when filling. If you wanted you could use a
smaller Stericup and filter, rebottle, filter, rebottle. This does,
however, have a greater chance of compromising the sterility of the
solution.

If you have any other questions, let me know.

Bryon
