You will probably be able to get a pretty decent gym membership for $30 a month. Best bet will be to shop around. If you're moving to a big city, there should be plenty of gyms...In my town alone, there is 6 or 7. Most places let you go in and check them out to see what they offer, machines/weights/services and all. Go in and check out the atmosphere too. One gym in my town is mostly older people, the dumbells only go up to 85, and they play classic oldies on the radio. Don't get stuck at one of those...lol. Should have no trouble finding a place. Sometimes the longer you join for, the cheaper it will be per month.

If i move to florida would they have air conditioning(SP)in the gyms?i ask so because here in rome there are no gym with a.c.,in my gym they only have fans on the roof, the owner says that a.c. is for pussies but during summer with 90% humidity and 45 centigrades every gym sessions becomes a sauna:(

Yes, at least in California all the gyms I visit have AC.

You can usually find something for about 30 a month.

Bally's usually has a deal, 29 down and 29 a month. That's one of the better deals I've seen from any large gym in a while.

I know theres alot of golds gyms around the DC, ANAPOLIS area. as for florida ,I'm not sure. I like Golds and Powerhouse the best out of all the ones I've tried.

Coming to the states for school Redox? What state? Anyway I lift at Champions Health and Fitness. It is $29/month...pretty nice place with A/C too. But Bailey's is pretty nice too...have heard mixed reveiws about it, but plan on visiting one for myself. Another nice place is Crunch...I have worked out there and like the atmosphere. Plenty of gyms so you won't have any trouble at all finding one...

Goodluck and Welcome to the good ol' USA!!!
