My diet and workouts are suffering.

I am going through a stressfull time in my life right now and i am not eatting enough and i have to force myself to workout. Will i gain weight if i dont eat but, 1 or 2 times a day?
When i get stressed or depressed i cant function normally. It is hard to eat, sleep, work, ect... I am a newbie and was just wondering if i will gain the weight back? I know that being stressed is not good for weight lose. I'm sure i will be back in the swing of things soon but, i was just wondering about the weight gain.
 
Stress is any type of change in the normal routine of you daily habits. Relationships etc...all cause stress. If you change your eating/sleeping habits you are putting your body through additional stress on top of wht ever teh cause of these changes might have been...as stated in numerouse threads through out MC with out propper diet and sleep you can not expect to gain. Even if you eat teh same amount of food in two sittings as you would consume divided up into seven sittings you will not be getting the total bennifits of what your eating. You need to split you meals up and get IMHO at least 6 - 8 hours of sleep daily. A lot of guys tend to even catcvh a 30min nap in durring the day. Growth occures when you sleep. My only recomendation is that you try to get a grip on whatever is causing your loss of appetite and start getting back on track...sounds a little like relationship troubles if you ask me. Big Bump to MdTNT, u have to get that stress level down. Bulid up of stress can cause cortisol levels to increase which causes the body to hold onto unwanted fat and loose muscle since your not eating like you should. You have to eat more than 1 to 2 time a day if you wanna grow. And Sleep is just as important as eating so those 2 things need to be in check for optimal growth to take place.

Talking bout whats making your stressed may help the situation or just evnting about it may also help.
 
I am feeling alot better.

Th holidays are over and the kids are back to school, and i finally joined a gym. I am feeling pretty good except i cheated like crazy over the holidays and i feel so bloated.
I am trying to lose fat an gain muscle. I am aiming for more of the fittness model look and not body builder look. Anyway does anyone have any diet advice for me? I would be greatly appreciated.
 
glad to hear that you joined a club...as far as diet goes...you are gonna have to eat clean and healthy and also at least 6 times a day divided into small portions to keep blood sugar level normal...your meal should always consist protein, some carb (good carb) to give you energy, and also aid in the metabolism process of burning fat..with that also you should also include some healthy fats like flaxseed oil, fish oil, water, vitamins and minerals,...you should be in good hands with that and just try to do cardio in the morning on empty stomach to decrease body fat level.... but feel free to ask anyother bros on this site...we are all here to help each other out.....good luck with your fitness goal...
