Help!!!! computer problem and i'm running in safe mode.

some one tell a poor defensless old man how to get his computer running right again. I have to run in safe mode cause wehn i use regular windows it wont let me access the internet but it will in safe mode. Some thing about my DNS...i have no friggin clue....but i'll be hoonest i almost ripped the thing out of the wall and tossed it out of the second floor window of my house.:angry:

That would be your domain name system (DNS) or also short for digital nervous system, a term coined by Bill Gates to describe a network of personal computers that make it easier to obtain and understand information, configures your IP address on your computer to function well with the internet...It will work in safe mode...The best thing to do is to shut it down and run on normal system and if the problem persist then i would suggest to take to a computer shop or get some help online depending your computer model....go to their website and they should have online assistant...Good luck bro....

It'll never be fixed....just went down again and took twenty minutes to get it to work again...I just printed a check to go buy a new computer...friggin technology...too damn technical for me Chuck.

Could be a virus or just that the old computer is just that. Unfortunately sometimes computers need maintenance and most people are not sure what to do. Viruses, trojans, spyware, malware and other shit makes it even harder to keep em up and running. Best thing is make sure that you have good antivirus and keep it up to date. It doesn't hurt to talk nice to it once in a while..LOL....maybe even snuggle with it every now and then.

i do snuggle with it once in a while....i even have a pic of IP right next to the monitor just to keep it company on cold nights when i'm not home....it's doinm ok for now....i'm just waitin for it to go completely on the fritz any day now...lol

If you have a pic of IP next to it then that is your problem. Even just a pic of IP is enough to screw anything up....LOL>>

what do you have running in your comp. you have to have messed with the subnet mask or something for it to do that unless you just have a virus. call your isp, they will fix it.

Buy an Apple (no no the fruit). Very rarly are they the target of viruses, spyware adware etc. Excellent for a webb brosing PC.
