I have been having huge issues with my feet since October.
My toes turned a blackish blue and have stayed that way ever since. Ive been to three different doctors and specialists.
They had an inkling that it was something called Raynauds Phenomenon. They sent me for like 26 different tests and they took 12 vials of blood. Today when i went back to my specialist he said that one of my tests came back positive. It was the test for ANA or Antinuclear AntiBody.
He ordered another list of blood tests cause he is a bit worried about it.
He also has arranged for me to go see a vascular surgeon in a different city.
He also is starting me on a drug called Nifediprine. I tried to do some research but i havent been able to find the information that I am looking for.

I have been super worried about this problem and i was wondering if anyone else has experienced their feet turning blackish blue ????? and does anyone know the safety profile of Nifediprine or more information on it??
IT would be much appreciated. Thanks

( sorry this isnt a bodybuilding question )

Thanks modizzle

I appreciate it alot.
I went in for more tests today and I had a long talk with the pharmacist and doctor about this drug.
I reallly like to know whats going into my body before i take it.
THanks

Wow, that sounds serious. Sounds like a circulation problem.

Yeah
if it turns out to be Raynauds like they think its not too bad but the last month they have started to do alot more tests because my symptoms dont disappear.

Raynauds is a disorder and they dont know why it occurs.
It has triggers like stress and cold weather.
What happens is teh arteries to your feet and hands constrict to redirect blood flow up to vital organs to keep them warm and oxygenated. When this happens it closes off blood flow to feet and fingers and causes them to go either blue red or white.
Usually as soon as you come in from the cold and warm them up they go back to their normal colour. However mine have stayed like this for about four months now. They are doing tons of tests on different things like gluclose and blood pressure and stuff ( ive had about 50 different blood tests so far ).
So finally they decided to try this new drug called Nifedipine. It opens blood vessels so they are going to try and see if it helps any. And he is referring me to a vascular surgeon to see if anything can be done.

Thanks for the info though modizz i appreciate it.
