Hello all,

Here is the story...I've always struggled with my weight since I can remember, and I've finally decided to forgo all of the excuses from the past and really become serious about my nutrtion and workouts. I'm 23 years old 5'8 and 160lbs. I've spent the better portion of my life on a diet, and frankly i'm tired. I want to no longer have "fat" clothes in my closet, I want to feel good about what i put in my mouth, i don't want to see anymore flab....bottom line i'm young and don't want to look back at this time in my life only remembering feeling miserable.

I do know the basics....cardio 4-5x/week 45min, strength trainig 3x/week, 6-8 small meals a day high protein, moderate carbs, low fat....the only thing is actually doing these things is harder than just saying i'm gonna do it. I always start off with good intentions and just fall back into old habits....but like i said NO MORE EXCUSES. I was hoping that I could get some suggestions on different resources to search for different workouts....things you may do for cardio that aren't the usual....good books/magazines/websites with weight training workouts?
I also was wondering if taking ephedrine and caffine together minus the asprin has the same benefits as the full ECA? How much caffine + ephedrine do you recommend to get a good workout out of? Any extra tidbits would also be appreciated.

I am really glad to have found this site....I know with a little help and a lot of hard work on my part i'll be able to get to were I need to be.

Thanks everyone :)

I gotta agree with everyone here. Missy has more experience with this than anyone of us. Hit her up and she'll get you on the road toward your goals.

i have to agree with everyone. I think Missfit could help you ALOT.
Also I have a few suggestions.
I am a 21 year old female 5'9, 130 lbs
I am not so much struggling with my weight but i feel like i really want to get in better shape and be healthier.
In highschool I played basketball, soccer, volleyball, and ran.
At least 3- 4 hours of my day was consumed with sports and fitness.
In college time alotments made me just play varsity basketball and work out whenever i could. Basketball was about 2 hours a day.
Now im done school and there isnt alot of things to do. There are no basketball, soccer and volleyball leagues. NOTHING.
Recently ive started to feel out of shape so i tried to come up with a plan.
I went out and bought some weights.
I set up a weight plan and cardio plan.
I bought a book to record my data in.
I wrote down 10 goals and i keep track of my exercise routine and diets.
I have to admit that ive been struggling. Its hard when you have to motivate yourself.
I wish that I was living closer to my boyfriend because he motivates me to lift heavier weights and to do more cardio and be more clean with my diet.
However I have seen gains quite quickly and i have found that i am feeling healthier.

I suggest
YOu come up with goals
Come up with a plan to achieve them
Keep Track of fitness and diet
Join an activity or league ( with a friend )
and
find a good work out partner or someone who motivates you.

Meatball (missfit) is the one to go too. Fitchick also gave some great advice.......You have two people to look to for real world advice.

I think your on the right path by knowing what you have to do and trying to get help to achieve those goals. I dont even know you and im proud of you. I think thats the first step is admitting to yourself you want to change and wanting it bad enough to openly admit your having trouble and seeking the resources to get it done.
good for you and if missy doesnt help you then its because your not trying hard enough. if ever you just want to share opinions or stories and ask for advice we have enough time, i'm sure everyone will offer thier help and missy(missfit) is a great resource..also, welcome to MC.
