did anyone else catch this show on tv last night...i thought it was pretty bad ass. they hve a lot of really good fighters from te looks of it. i couldn't believe that fat mexican kid beat the #3 guy in the world...he wooped the shit outta him too! go west coast! i cant wait to see that 18yr old black kid fight...i saw him sparring and he looked tough!

Yeah they have some big names in there. Those ppl arent just your run of them mill boxers, they the top in the country. This and the UFC are the only 2 i watch.

i didn't know the show existed till last night. the mexican guy was a boxer and he controlled the fight all the way i think.his combinations were crazy. The other dude just kept on walking in to his punches. for a second i thought the mexican guy was going to loose because his trainer was telling him to do something then his dad would walk up to him telling him to something. i thought he was going to get confused.but that wasn't the case. yeah man that show last night was bad ass.

Gomez took him out and boxed like a mad man. He's got heart and a solid right.

I cant wait to see ishe and amed throw down.......they have been talkin shit to each other all throught the first show.

i love the show too, but the only problem is they don't show all of the round. you really only get to see the best punches. it's i little annoying, but still a great show.

Gomez was right when he said that he was either gonna be the hero or the idiot. I thought he was a dumbass when he chose to fight Peter Manfredo.

I cant wait to see the lawyer guy from east fight he looks tough.

isnt the next one on thursday @ 9:00 west coast? ive never been really into tv and had a specific show i would watch but i this i'll try and see this one every episode.

cy- ishe and amed are going to kill eachother! that is one i will definaely not miss. from the few times they showed the lawyer he looks quick too. this show is going o kick ass!

Yeah it took Stlalone and Leonard like a year to find these boxers. These guys, as said before, are truly the best young guns in the world!!! I thought that shit was tight, but i never would have thought that gomez would have beaten manfredo...never!!! Stalone never fails to amaze me. He does movies, porn, nutrition, boxing and arm wrestling....whats next?

Ishe and Ahmed is gonna be the best fight for sure.I just hope they dont fight for a few more episodes. Ishe needs a bit more time to get inside Ahmeds head and get him riled up Its gonna be good when it happens though!!!

gomez really surprised the hell out of me with his combinations...he really put it together well. i think the main reason manfredo lost was because he wasn't throwing any punches, he seemed to have some real power but that doesn't mean shit if you dont throw anything.

I hate reality television.

I fucking loved this show. My girl was watching it in the other room and kept telling me to come see as soon as I walked in I was glued to the TV. I was impressed not only with the figthers but with the quality of production on the whole show.

I was thrilled that Gomez beat Manfredo and did it in the fashion that he did. they did say that he has a right like Roberto Duran and they weren't kidding. You could see the little birds circling above Manfredo's head after a few of those punches... I'm looking forward to catching a whole episode tomorrow night.

I really liked it- and yes the next one is Thursday at 9:00pm CST. Regular time is Mondays I think(someone correct me if I an wrong). I knew Gomez was going to win- I can tell you that Mexicans are good boxers in general(we are all very superstitous) and he really did have a Roberto Duran-esque feel in the ring. Ther other guy was a little too confident- but it was pretty much over midway- he just wasn't throwing a lot of punches and he was able to gain the respect of all the boxers. I am curious to see how far the guy that committed suicide goes. They are not taking out his segments but they will pay tribute to him when his fight comes up. It will be a very good show.

Yes- on Valentine's Day Najai Turpin (from the East team)put a gun to his head and shot himself. He had just come home from filming The Contender and apparently his mood had changed dramatically - he was very drawn into himself, more reserved. His mother died suddenly when he was 18 so he became the head of hosehold and held multiple jobs at a time to make ends met. He also had a daugher of his own.

wow, how selfish. now that girl has to grow up without a father. i have no sympathy for people who commit suicide...life is never bad enough to kill yourself. when i went to brazil 2 years ago i went to place called the fafellas(sp?) it was literally like the commercials you see on tv with people in houses made out of scraps. these people were so nice and offered you everything they had, this kid i made friends with even gave me the shirt off his back, one of probably 3 shirts he owned. suicide is rediculous to them, even though they have almost nothing going or them. i think suicide is one of the most selfish acts a person can commit.

thats bullshit that he killed himself, quit boxing and get a job and fucking provide for your family. shit happens to everyone, now his family is royally screwed. i knew a kid in highschool who hung himself in his shower...his mother was the one who found him. his MOM found him hanging there dead in the shower! can you believe what that must have been like for her? how can someone do that to thier family? my senior year, my training partner on the wrestling team, his brother died while snowboarding with his dad. he went right past the lift out of control and hit a tree. he died in the arms of his dad coughing up blood. it DESTROYED thier family and it was no one's fault, how much worse would it be if you found your family member dead? fucking unreal!

DONT MESS WITH THE WEST, FOR WE ARE THE BEST! can you believe that shit tonight...jesse brinkley beat the hell out of johnathon from the east. i thought he'd probably lose because johnathon looked really well conditioned and i figured he be able to go round after round with anyone there i think it all comes down to heart here...whoever puts 100% in will take it. i couldn't believe ishe and ahmed didn't go at it...i think ishe might be scared but but record wise there's only a one fight difference and they're both undefeated. i think they'll be fighting on sunday, at least from the previews thats what it looked like.

It was a good fight and I think you are right- its all about heart.
I think Ishe was a puss for not wanting to fight Ahmed- he talks crap but I don't think he can beat him(I hope he does but I don't think he can). I think the West will keep winning because the East just doesn't work together at all.

Ishe is a puss. I saw fear in his eye. I hope for his sake he's not all talk.

I think Ishe wants another week to mess with Ahmeds head and get inside of it.
You will see them fight in the next week or two.
I guarantee it.
